The traditional Chinese medicine industry is a traditional industry in China and has been developing along with the Chinese nation for thousands of years. In recent years, along with the rise of the "return to nature" trend in the world, the demand for Chinese herbs and natural medicines in the international and domestic markets has been expanding. Zhonghe Town is located in the west of Meihekou City, and is in the transitional area from the Songliao Plain to the Longgang Mountains of Changbai Mountain. The landform shows the hilly terrain with feature of plain in the north and hill in the south. The five villages in its south (including Liupu Village, Jinchang Village, Guanjiagou Village, Guangming Village, and Dongxia Village) own well-maintained mountain forests, humid climate and fertile soil, which is especially suitable for the growth of wild Chinese herbal medicine in Northeast China. In recent years, the people in 5 villages have begun to develop planting of Chinese herbal medicines, and the industry has been developed rapidly. There are currently 23 households of Chinese medicinal materials, and the planting area of ginseng, Schisandra chinensis, dandelion, and edible herbs is more than 550 acres. The five villages own nearly 10,000 acres of high-quality hillside arable land, which is very suitable for the development of Chinese herbal medicine planting. The local masses also have the willingness and technical basis for the development of Chinese herbal medicine planting. Now our town plans to invite foreign investment and seek domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies to build Chinese herbal medicine planting bases.
